Hog Roast Newton le Willows Earns Top Marks for Taste!

Hog Roast Newton le WillowsThere’s something especially satisfying about celebrating success with great food – and that’s exactly what happened when Hog Roast Newton le Willows was invited to cater a special event at Hope Academy earlier this month. But this wasn’t your average school function filled with textbooks and assemblies. This was a well-earned staff celebration after the academy received an outstanding report following a recent visit, and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more upbeat.

Donna, the Principal’s PA, reached out to Hog Roast Newton le Willows to help organise a memorable thank-you for the hardworking staff who dedicate so much of their time and energy to creating a positive environment for students every single day. Naturally, we were more than happy to help turn the occasion into something delicious.

The centrepiece was our famous slow-roasted hog – proper crunchy crackling, savoury sage and onion stuffing, sweet applesauce – and guests could go either way with it: piled into a soft roll and eaten with both hands, or plated up properly alongside tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad, creamy coleslaw, herby new potatoes and a mix of sweet potato and classic fries. A full spread of sauces, salt and vinegar was served on the side to finish things off too, because nothing beats the feeling of customising your plate.

Hog Roast Newton le WillowsAnd there’s no need to worry about the veggie and vegan staff members either – we’d never dream of leaving anyone circling the table looking for something to actually eat. For the plant-based crowd, we served grilled vegetable kebabs and BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns loaded with deep, smoky hickory sauce that was worth getting excited about.

What made the day truly special, though, wasn’t just the food – it was the atmosphere. After months of hard work, seeing the Hope Academy staff relax, laugh together and enjoy a well-deserved celebration was brilliant to witness.

A huge congratulations again to everyone at Hope Academy on such an incredible achievement. Hog Roast Newton le Willows was honoured to be part of the celebration – and judging by the empty plates, we’d say it went down pretty well!
