Every single vendor you’ll come across – the venue, the florist, the baker – will tell you they’re the crucial piece holding your wedding together. So we know it sounds gimmicky when Hog Roast Liverpool tells you the exact same thing… But spend a full day at a wedding and you’ll soon understand why. Because by the time the speeches are over and everyone’s had their photo taken for what feels like the hundredth time, people are ready for something substantial, bold and full of flavour. And that’s exactly what you’ll get from us.

At Hog Roast Liverpool, we build menus that are hearty and genuinely exciting, so that once your guests have had one bite, you can bet they’ll be straight back for more. Don’t just take our word for it though, ask Aimee, who booked us for her wedding at Hotel Anfield on the 4th of September – by the end of the night, the food was pretty much all anyone was talking about!
With 120 hungry guests to feed and varying palates to accommodate, Aimee had gone with our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which brought plenty of big flavours to the table without making things unnecessarily complicated. Our Texan-style beef brisket, Cajun-spiced chicken and pulled minted lamb had all been cooked until wonderfully tender, giving guests three very different options to pile onto their plates. And because we know everyone likes to put their own spin on things, there was a selection of sauces too, from smoky-sweet BBQ and hickory bourbon to Cajun hot pepper for anyone who likes their dinner with a bit of a kick.
The sides kept things just as interesting, with Greek salad, seasonal vegetables and roasted baby new potatoes filling out the spread. There was no danger of anyone leaving the table hungry, that’s for sure.
And, as always, we weren’t about to leave the vegetarians and vegans staring longingly at everyone else’s plates. Grilled veggie kebabs and BBQ-pulled jackfruit, smothered in hickory sauce, meant they had something properly satisfying to tuck into too.

By the time everyone had eaten, the food had done more than simply fill a few hungry stomachs. It had given 120 guests something to gather around and enjoy together, which is really what you want from wedding catering. Aimee and her guests could get back to celebrating, chatting and making the most of the evening, while Hog Roast Liverpool took care of the important business of keeping everyone fed.
Because the flowers might look beautiful in the photographs and the cake might get all the attention when it’s cut, but trust us on this: if you give your guests a memorable meal, they’ll be talking about that long after the last dance.
