Sarah and her husband are always hosting events and parties at their home in Merseyside, ranging from garden parties to cocktail nights. The pair are great at hosting and have a wide circle of friends and family to entertain, which makes for lots of entertaining events! This July, Hog Roast Ashton-in-Makerfield was hired to cater for a dinner party, with our catering manager Sam on hand to prepare our delicious formal dining menu. The dinner party was being hosted for 15 guests and was sure to be a great night.
Our catering began with a round of canapes, which was the perfect introduction to our catering. We served a selection of bite-sized dishes, including mini fish and chips, an Indian selection, and succulent duck breast.
For the main meal, we provided our classic slow-roasted hog, which is always the star of our catering. The delicious pork was expertly carved and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the side dishes, we served delicious baby potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables, and rich homemade gravy.
Finally, the guests chose from sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte. The dishes were served with English cream and fresh berries to create a luxurious and delicious dessert course. Additionally, we offered a hot drinks service, consisting of fresh brewed coffee and tea, which was the perfect way to end the meal.
