Elara and her fiancé got engaged earlier this year while on a weekend away to the village where they first met. The couple met 12 years ago while on a school trip and both discovered that they were from the same town in Merseyside! Such a coincidence meant that they kept in touch, formed a friendship, and were quickly on their way to building a wonderful relationship. Since their engagement happened while they were on holiday, the couple wanted to host a party to share the news with their friends and family once they returned home. For the occasion, they hired Hog Roast Waterloo to provide a delicious buffet for the guests to enjoy, as well as a drinks service acting as a toast to share the great news.
Our catering manager Sam arrived with the Hog Roast Waterloo team on the day of the event and began by slow-roasting the hog for the evening buffet. Once ready, the meat was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the side dishes, we provided homemade chips and seasonal salad options to create a varied and tasty meal. As the guests arrived, they were provided with a glass of champagne, which they used for a toast to the newly engaged couple. This was a great way to share the news and meant that the guests quickly understood why the party had been hosted. Once the party was underway, the guests then lined up to enjoy what Hog Roast Waterloo had to offer!
