Our catering manager Sam was recently hired to provide catering for an alfresco wedding that took place this spring in Merseyside. Alison and Shane had been dating for 10 years before tying the knot this year, surrounded by 70 of their friends and family. Alison has always wanted to get married in the sunshine, with an outdoor ceremony followed by a formal catering menu in a beautifully rustic venue. For the catering, Sam was asked to provide our alfresco menu for the guests, with three courses of delicious dishes.
To begin with, the Hog Roast Everton team served sharing platters to the guests. The platters were incredibly varied and consisted of gourmet meats, sliced cheese, salad dishes, and fresh bread. This was a great introduction to our catering and was a great way for the guests to chat together at their tables.
Following this, the guests enjoyed classic Hog Roast Everton main course, which consisted of a slow-roasted hog and all of the trimmings. As well as the main dish, we also served baby roasted new potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and sage and onion stuffing.
To finish the menu, we served cheesecake and profiteroles to the guests. Each dessert was served with English cream and fresh berries. The desserts looked and tasted incredible and were the best way to finish such a delicious menu!
