Saturday marked a very important day for Carl, who celebrated his 18th birthday with a party, which was held at an events hall nearby. Commemorating the monumental occasion, family and friends from all over came together to honour the birthday boy’s first big step into adulthood and there to make sure everyone was well-fed and looked after that afternoon was the Hog Roast Hillside catering team.
Our crew had been called into action by the birthday boy, himself, who had taken it upon himself to organise the entire event – with a little bit of extra help from the bank of mum and dad, too, of course. Right off the bat, Carl had thought about having a hog roast buffet, and after discovering Hog Roast Hillside’s services online, his decision was finalised.
Speaking with our catering manager, Sam, the client was then able to choose the ideal spread for his needs and that of his guests, which on this occasion meant a menu that included not only a gorgeous meat option but the added choice of vegan and vegetarian dishes for any non-meat-eating attendees. Carl’s perfect menu turned out to be our sensational, Classic Hog Roast Menu, which brings together all of the fundamental components that make our hog roasts a truly spectacular dining experience.
Hog Roast Hillside spent much of Saturday afternoon preparing the sumptuous spread ahead of the client’s party, so, by the time everyone eventually arrived to get the celebrations started, our team were in the last leg of the cooking process. By this point, the full-size pig had taken on a crisp and golden appearance, bowls of salad had been set out on the catering table, alongside a mountain of wholemeal rolls, a row of condiments and homemade dips and a tower of bamboo crockery; and the atmosphere was filled with mouth-watering fragrances from the delicious food.
When Sam announced that the food was ready, the guests didn’t hesitate to get stuck in, and with something on the table to suit everyone’s appetite and more than enough to go around, no one was left feeling hungry.
